Duties:Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, dish, banquets, café, and storage areas. Maintains safety, sanitation and cleanliness in all areas. Receives and stores merchandise properly. Upholds all the standards of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and the Health Department. Trains, supervises, and evaluates performance of all kitchen/dish employees. Experiments with new ideas for menu items and monthly specials. Assists in achieving budgeted labor/food costs and operating expenses. Assists in achieving department and personal of self and supervisor goals. Reports to the Kitchen Manager.
Experience Required:Associates Degree in Food Service Minimum of five year’s experience in Food preparation with knowledge of frying, cooking, labor and food costs or combined experience in a related positions Ability to effectively supervise and motivate personnel Ability to stand and walk continually Ability to lift moderate to heavy items Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Good math skills in order to calculate food costs, adjust recipes, make adjustments to projections, etc. Serve Safe/Sanitation Certifications
