| Duties: | Set up and work as a Public Health Nurse in various clinics and programs. Carry out special assignments which
require independent judgment and basic management skills. Assists in orientation of staff and services as liaison
between staff and supervision. Works under general supervision of Personal and Preventive Health Services
Supervisor or Division Director. |
| Experience Required: | Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Possession of current license to
practice as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan. A minimum of two years’ work experience with BSN; three
years with Associate Degree or Diploma. Two years of Public Health nursing experience is preferred. Knowledge
of Public Health Nursing with emphasis on personal and preventive health services. Ability to relate to clients with
empathy and compassion. Ability to handle stress. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to
provide education on various health related topics. Ability to drive private automobile, have valid Michigan
Driver’s License and good driving record. |
