Duties: | The Executive Director of TempleArts serves as the visionary leader and primary executive for the non-profit arts organization, responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, and fostering the artistic and cultural mission of the organization. She/he works collaboratively with the Board of Directors, staff, artists, community partners, and stakeholders to create impactful programming, achieve organizational goals.
Strategic Leadership: · Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and long-term goals. · Champion the vision, values, and priorities of the organization to staff, stakeholders, and the broader community.
· Monitor trends in the theatre and fine arts sectors and adapt strategies to remain relevant and innovative. · Foster a positive, growth culture for TempleArts employees. Financial and Operational Management: · Oversee the development and management of the organization’s budget to ensure financial health and sustainability. · Drive revenue generation through diverse streams, including fundraising, sponsorships, ticket sales, and grants. · Ensure the organization operates efficiently and in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Fundraising and Development: · Lead efforts to secure funding from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
· Cultivate relationships with major donors and sponsors, articulating the organization’s impact and needs effectively. · Achieve goals related to the growth of the TempleArts endowment accounts with a long-term goal of self-funded operations |
Experience Required: | Demonstrated success as a senior leader in the for-profit or non-profit
sectors.
· Business and financial management skills, with P&L responsibility, including budget oversight
and revenue generation.
· Demonstrated success in fundraising and stakeholder engagement.
· Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
· Passion for the arts and commitment to the organization’s mission.
