Job Title: Early Head Start Program Support Aide (EHS PSA)
Department: Early Childhood
Supervisor: Early Head Start Teacher (Infant and Toddler)
Classification: 12-month position
Salary: $12.00 per hour
Job Summary: The Early Head Start Program Support Aide works as part of a team to assist with activities in the areas of the classroom and kitchen. This position assists with implementing the early childhood education curriculum (Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos). The EHS PSA position may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers as deemed necessary for program operations. This position may receive content area technical support and training from the EHS Teacher, Education Coordinator, Program Manager, and/or Training and Technical Assistance Network. |
| Experience Required: | Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must be 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma or G.E.D.
3. Must have an Infant/Toddler CDA within two years of employment.
4. Must be willing and able to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification and maintain certification.
5. Acceptable tuberculosis and drug screening results, a clear criminal records check and an initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment.
6. Current and former Head Start employees, students and parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified. |
