Deciding when to retire may not be as simple as it used to be. Today, those who have already retired are facing a volatile economy. An issue that faces every pre-retiree is at what age he or she should retire. Though it may seem like a simple question, the issue of when to retire is more complex today because of a number of financial concerns that should be considered before deciding on a specific retirement date. And retirees today are facing a different economy, longer life expectancies, and more opportunities for working longer than the previous generation of retirees had.
During this educational workshop, we will focus on retirement expectations people have about when they will retire, and the realities of when people today in fact do retire. We’ll also look at some special financial considerations you can address with me to help you make a more informed decision about when you may retire.
