Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. Habitat builds houses with volunteers and sells them to low-income families, who become part of the volunteer crews. Their mortgage payments help finance other Habitat houses. Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat has built 31 houses in its ten years. |
