ASIST is an internationally recognized, evidence-based training that equips participants with the skills and confidence to recognize and respond to individuals who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide. This training is designed not only for mental health professionals, but for anyone in a helping role, because we know that people often turn first to someone they trust. Continuing education credits are available for several professional disciplines
Participants will learn how to:
- Recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide
- Engage in supportive, direct conversations
- Develop a collaborative safety plan
- Connect individuals to ongoing care and resources
