Celebrate national reading month with pancakes and a new book! The morning celebration is designed to bring parents, grandparents and families together to celebrate reading and encourage families to read together every day. The event sponsored by the READ Association includes an all you can eat pancake breakfast with a free new book for every child, storytelling and other sponsored literacy activities. Costume book characters will appear throughout the morning to entertain the children. Ticket price is $3. per person; under one year is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods and receive one raffle ticket for each can donated for a chance to win additional books in a raffle. Donations will benefit Hidden Harvest and the East Side Soup Kitchen.
