This Parent and Childcare Provider's Workshop will present the five best practices families and caregivers can use to nurture pre-reading skills. These skills; talking, singing, reading, writing and playing can be easily integrated into everyday activities with children. Participants will also be introduced to the best of new books as well as ideas, activities, and resources that will engage children in the world of literacy. Our special guest willbe Dr. Gwendolyn McMillon, Professor of Literacy, from Oakland University.
