Event Description:

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Saginaw Art Museum on Saturday, March 17th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. by creating your very own Brigid’s Cross - a well-known Irish symbol with both Irish Pagan and Christian roots. This cross is placed over the doors and windows in houses across Ireland, and it indicates protection of homes from any kind of harm. Typically made with rushes or straw, we will be using pipe cleaners to create this traditional Irish symbol. This activity is free of charge and open to all!

Please note that the number of participants is capped at 20, and that young children must be accompanied by an adult. As such, RSVP's are encouraged, though not required. To do so, please contact Lauren at staff@saginawartmuseum.org or by calling the museum at 989-754-2491 ext. 101. All art materials will be supplied by the museum. Certain materials may become hazardous if used improperly; always follow instructions given by the staff leader.

We hope to see you for an afternoon full of learning and fun.
