Light The Night is an inspirational community event, raising awareness about blood cancer and raising funds for groundbreaking research and treatment options.
On Saturday, September 22, participants will walk along a one-mile route between the Tridge and the Dow Diamond. Those who raise $100 or more are called “Champions for Cures,” and carry illuminated lanterns—white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost. The opening ceremony will honor survivors, and will feature a presentation by Honored Hero Grace Halleck, herself a survivor of blood cancer, as well as a representative from presenting sponsor Garber Automotive. All are welcome to join teams, walk individually, or volunteer during the event. Festivities are centered at the Midland Farmer’s Market starting at 6 p.m.
