Proceeds will benefit HIDDEN HARVEST, the surplus-food rescue program serving the Great Lakes Bay Region for nearly 25 years. HIDDEN HARVEST staff and volunteers trained in safe food handling pick up tens of thousands of pounds of surplus food a month from restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals and other health-department-certified businesses and deliver it, in refrigerated trucks, to 163 soup kitchens, shelters and other hunger relief organizations. This year alone HIDDEN HARVEST will distribute more than 2.6 million pounds of healthy surplus food. There are no fees or dues charged to the agencies. Since 1994 HIDDEN HARVEST has distributed more than 36 million pounds of food products to agencies that help feed our neighbors in need.

With HIDDEN HARVEST, everybody wins. Perfectly good food doesn’t go to waste, hungry children and adults eat well-balanced meals and hard-working charitable organizations can channel scarce operating dollars into their other programs.
