The Saginaw Community Foundation (SCF) is now accepting applications for its Access and Opportunity Grant Program, an initiative designed to support nonprofit projects that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice in Saginaw County. The program, now in its second year, is made possible by a $20,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation.
The Access and Opportunity Grant Program will award at least four grants of up to $5,000 each to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Projects should reflect SCF’s commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable community. Applications are now being accepted and must be submitted by October 30, 2026.
Grant recipients will be notified by November 20. Funded projects must be completed by November 30, 2027. Prospective applicants must contact Brian Jackson, SCF’s Director of Community Partnerships & Special Initiatives, before applying to discuss project ideas and receive a grant number. Last year’s Access and Opportunity Grant recipients were: The City of Saginaw “Neighbor Day”, Friends of Roethke Foundation “Saginaw Spoken Word Expansion”, Saginaw County Community Engagement & Inclusion Council “DEI Symposium: Forward Together – Inclusive Growth for All”, and V.O.I.C.E. (Valley Organization for Improved Community and Equality) “See the Connection: ASL Community Events”.
