| Duties: | Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop a working knowledge of 19th century Midland history, as well as CNC’s procedures, facilities and programs
2. Lead activities and traditional skill demonstrations, such as rope making, corn grinding, woodworking, and fiber arts (Training provided)
3. Assist in setting-up/cleaning-up self-guided activities
4. Assist with volunteer sign-ins
5. Select a project (optional) to be completed by end of internship, August 31, 2026
6. Other duties as assigned

| Experience Required: | Required Qualifications
• Coursework or degree in public history, interpretation, environmental history, museum studies or related field
• Comfortable interacting with and serving all ages and audiences
• Demonstrated ability to write and speak effectively
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of basic interpretive/teaching techniques
• Working knowledge of the cultural history of the region and its relationship to natural resources
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness and ability to become certified) |
