| Duties: | Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the organization’s major annual events, including but not limited to: Walk for Hope (5K walk/run), Talk Today (SPIRIT Hockey Themed Night), Hope Starts Here (A day to support individuals who are impacted by suicide),and Golf Outings.
•Identify and secure event sponsorships and community partnerships
•Support fundraising efforts tied to events, including raffles and donor engagement
•Maintain sponsor relationships and ensure recognition and stewardship
•Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for events
•Develop volunteer schedules and manage event-day assignments
•Foster positive volunteer engagement and retention
•Collaborate on marketing strategies for events, including social media and community outreach
•Promote events to increase participation and visibility
•Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community partners
•Coordinate vendors, permits, contracts, and supplies
•Manage event timelines, checklists, and logistics planning
•Ensure smooth event execution and positive participant experiences
•Work closely as a team to meet the organizations priorities
•Assist with evaluating event success and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement |
| Experience Required: | •Experience in event planning, nonprofit fundraising, or community engagement
•Strong organizational and project management skills
•Ability to coordinate volunteers and manage multiple moving parts
•Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•Experience with sponsorship development or donor relations preferred
•Social media and marketing experience
•Passion for community engagement and supporting mental health and suicide prevention initiatives
•Comfortable working in environments involving grief, trauma, and emotional distress |
