Duties: | DuPont’s Healthcare Industries Material Site (HIMS) is seeking a Production Technician in Hemlock, MI! If you are an outgoing individual who takes initiative with their work and is great at multitasking, then this is the role for you!

This role is a rotating shift position working a 12-hour 3-2-2 schedule, 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.
Sets up, operates and monitors automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows emergency procedures as necessary. May rotate through various production/process equipment operator roles. Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify methods and approach. Has skills developed through work experience or formal training. Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision. Resolves routine issues.
Key essential duties include:
Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible manner
Optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using information systems including: temperatures, pressures, and flow rates
Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, production rates, etc.
Adjusting control systems and manually operated equipment based on process and lab data.
Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
Identifying opportunities for improvement and implement improvements when appropriate
Performing daily tasks efficiently using the appropriate computer tools and software
Ensuring operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and business goals.
Completing individual duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.

Experience Required: | The following are required:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a rotating basis including weekends and holidays and work overtime when needed
Willing and able to lift 50 lbs, lift hoses, bolt flanges, and operate valves and similar equipment routinely
Communicate effectively across a diverse work group
Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation
Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms |
