| Duties: | SPI Is Growing & Expanding! We are looking to add to our low voltage infrastructure team. This would be similar to an electrician type of work. Here is a list of some of the duties/work:
• Pull, Label and dressing of category 5 and category 6 cable
• Work on 6 and 8 foot ladders
• Install j-hooks, beam clamps and bridle rings
• Assist with ladder racks, cable trays and cabinet enclosures
• Install Face Plates, covers and cable identification tags
• Terminate work station outlets – data jacks
• Velcro, Electrical Tape and Wire Ties
• Evaluate site preparation and installation requirements
o Cable paths, routes, conditions
• Work and identify data closets and telecommunication spaces
o Demarcation, MDF / IDFs
• Experience with Network Electronics conditions and configurations
o Routers, Switches, Ports
• Data Terminations
o Jacks, Patch Panel, Face Plate
• 25 pair termination of 110 and 66 blocks is preferred
• Site completion
o Documentation
o Blue Print
o Certification
• Experience / Training
o Hubbell Certification
o Understanding of the BICSI Industry Standards
o Minimum of 2-5 years’ work experience in commercial structured cabling
o Works independently when needed |
