Duties:Garpiel Group, an award-winning, full service landscaping firm in the Great Lakes Bay region is seeking a full time, experienced accounting professional to oversee our finance department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Payroll Accounts payable and receivable Bank reconciliations Cash flow forecasting Maintain accurate ledgers Develop monthly financial statements Prepare monthly/quarterly tax returns Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results to team Prepare month end accrual entries This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who desires a critical role in a growing organization, seeking to make a direct impact on our financial success. Experience Required:This is not an entry level position. The following skills are required: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field 3+ years professional experience in related position(s) Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of business Experience in services related to payroll, such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes Ability to effectively analyze financial data, as it relates to company performance and communicate findings Extreme attention to detail and ability to locate discrepancies Independent, assertive, problem solver, self-starter
