The Children’s Zoo features a variety of animals ranging from small invertebrates to large Clydesdale Horses. We are currently home to over 150 animals (and that’s not including the thousands of insects!) year round. As a non-profit organization, we are always on the lookout for help from our community. If you are a person looking to donate some time, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from bringing animals to classrooms all the way to ride operators. If you have an ambitious teenager at home looking to boost their resume, we have our teen volunteer program, Zoo Crew, where teens 13 and up can gain valuable work experience that will prepare them for future jobs.
