Event Description: Grab your neighbors and come celebrate the Saginaw Kickoff event of the “NEA Big Read: Great Lakes Bay Region” Community Read Project and Hispanic Heritage Month! The free event will feature a Mariachi band, traditional Mexican colorful flag decorations and Aztec dragon sand sculptures activities, “Time Refocused: Photographs by Luis C. Garza” exhibition, yummy Mexican cuisine, and more! Guests can pick up a copy of “The House on Mango Street” by Sandra Cisneros and information about upcoming book discussions and programs!
