Celebrate fall in Frankenmuth during Scarecrow Fest, with a fun family-friendly festival at Frankenmuth River Place Shops and special scarecrow displays throughout downtown Frankenmuth! Taking place across two weekends in October, Scarecrow Fest includes both a Kids and Dog Weekend with special activities for everyone in the family.
Bring the whole family to Frankenmuth River Place Shops for Kids Weekend of Scarecrow Fest on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24!
Saturday and Sunday from noon - 6 pm, try your hand at the pumpkin catapult and see how far you can launch a pumpkin! You can also try your hand at pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, arts and crafts and take a ride on Grandpa Tiny’s barrel train. Some activites include a small fee.
We will also have free family entertainment in the Festival Platz near the Cass River Bar and Grill during Kids Weekend. From 12 noon to 6 PM, DJ Misco is spinning Halloween and family-friendly tunes. Performers with Judy’s School of Dance will put on a Halloween-themed show at 2 PM and 3:30 PM.
There is a Kids Costume Parade on Sunday, October 24 throughout the complex from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm starting at the Fest Platz - kids who participate will receive a treat bag! Treat bags are first come, first served.
Two of the 500 treat bags will include a 'Golden Ticket' that you can redeem for an awesome Halloween prize package including a huge pumpkin to carve or paint with included paint markers, special candy treats and gift certificates that can be used at any of our stores at River Place Shops! Must be redeemed onsite before October 31, 2021. No cash value.
Scarecrow Fest will also be held the weekend of October 16 and 17, with the theme of Dog Weekend!
