Event Description: Saturday, February 5th from 9am-5pm @ the CGC Sunday, February 6th from 1-3pm (Zoom meeting) Are you a good listener? Volunteer Group Facilitators are needed to help with the Children’s Grief Center’s peer support grief groups. As a volunteer you will receive a wonderful training where you will explore and share your own life journey. You will participate in similar activities that the kids do in group and you will create a peer support group within your own training classmates. Children’s Grief groups are held two nights/month throughout the school year in Midland, Saginaw and Bay City, as well as programs during the summer. We ask for a minimum commitment of one school year. Consistent attendance is important to ensure the development of the group as a cohesive unit. * Volunteer Facilitators must attend dates of training (listed above) and commit to one school year of service. There is a suggested $50 donation for training materials & costs. Note: Training Scholarships are available upon request.
