YPN Gives Back: Shoebox Saginaw - A YPN After 5 Event

In the spirit of giving back, the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network is taking part in the Shoebox Saginaw effort again this year. Shoebox Saginaw is a personal needs drive supporting women in need living in Saginaw County.

YPN Gives Back: Shoebox Saginaw is a two-part effort. First, YPs are collecting shoeboxes and personal need items, as well as monetary or gift card donations. Any money collected will be used to buy additional items. Donation locations and times are listed below.

Second, YPs will gather for YPN After 5 and wrap the gifts before they are delivered to the Shoebox Saginaw project coordinator. YPN After 5 is on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Trillium Banquet Center, 6415 State Street, Saginaw, MI 48603. A pizza dinner will be provided. Drinks are available for purchase at Trillium.

Donations will be collected at the Chamber's November Percolator Breakfast on Thursday, November 2, 2023. The breakfast is from 7:30 - 9 a.m. at Horizons Conference Center, 6200 State Street, Saginaw, MI 48603.

Donations will also be accepted at the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, 515 N. Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours which are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Gift cards can be mailed to the Chamber as well; please use the designation, "Attention YPN/Shoebox Project".

Suggested donation items include: socks, hat, gloves, scarf, one-size slipper socks, brush, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, perfume, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, Kleenex, nail file, wallet or coin purse, small sewing kit, small notebook and pen, calendar, gift card and nonperishable candy.
