Event Description:

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw will be hosting an event for young ladies, grades 6-12th at the Saginaw Career Complex, February 25th, 9am – 12pm.

This event will introduce girls to the many opportunities they can achieve in the building and construction industry. A panel of women, who work in the industry, will be on hand to talk about what inspired them to follow their passion in a world that to many, is unconventional for women.
The growing number of trades occupations and the need for women in the trades, will only continue to increase as we see the necessity for a well-trained and diverse workforce. Women can excel in a profession that allows them to create, design, problem-solve, and more that can lead them to a very successful and fulfilling career choice.

Attendees will have the opportunity to build birdhouses to donate to the community, thanks to our generous donors and sponsors including Builders First Source, the Saginaw Career Complex and Spence Brothers. The Home Builders Association believes in giving back to our communities through opportunities like these and wants to show that you can make a difference by providing habitats, not only to people though the home building process, but also our wildlife. Everyone and every creature deserves a home.

Students that are interested in registering for the event can call the HBA office at 989-793-1120 or visit https://hbas.org/#/events/she-builds.
