The Strawberry Festival Returns June 20th 2023
The staff and management of Community Village proudly announce the return of the Strawberry Festival. The 50-year tradition, interrupted for 3 years by Covid-19, is making a comeback June 20th at 4:00 – 8:00pm
An annual favorite of all ages, the event will offer strawberry shortcake with ice cream, feature carnival games and the old-fashioned cakewalk for youngsters, and food truck favorites for those who bring an appetite. This year a silent auction will also be featured.
The 2023 Strawberry Festival will follow the tradition of the past, designating the funds raised to directly provide special benefits to Community Village residents. These funds typically are used for Christmas presents and decorations, but also help with hair care and birthdays.
Another perennial favorite of the Strawberry Festival is the music. Marty Veirs will start the afternoon, while Count N Change takes center stage early evening, followed by John & Andy. The festival committee promises a beautiful evening with plenty of picnic table seating (perfect for enjoying music, conversation, and that wonderful strawberry shortcake).
