Event Description: Join us for a Native American Land Acknowledgement and dedication by the City of Saginaw, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, and the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum. The celebration includes a special announcement from the Great Lakes Bay Community READ and a book giveaway, as well as a Pow-Wow Demonstration presented by the Ziibiwing Center of Anishinaabe Culture & Lifeways, followed by an official reception at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum for Vitality and Continuity: Art in the Experiences of Anishinaabe, Inuit, and Pueblo Women. RSVP recommended, not required.
