Event Description:
You’re Invited to Attend Developing Yourself / Developing Your Family Business Thursday, April 18, 2024 7:30 to 9:30 am – Major Event - Networking & Keynote SVSU Curtiss Hall, Banquet Rooms A & B 9:45 to 10:45 am – Peer Group Sessions (SCFB Members Only) Featuring Jon Weirauch Organizational Consultant, Business Coach, Writer, Podcaster Times are tuff. Sometimes, our workplaces can provide an escape from the stressors of our personal lives. Other times, we need our personal lives to help de-stress from challenges at work. Especially in family businesses, the lines between personal and work life can easily be blurred. Our at-home, personal relationships with our family members are inevitably impacted by our interactions at work, and vice versa. To function most effectively and be optimally successful in our work and personal lives, we must be intentional about our relationships with family members in the personal sphere and within the family enterprise. This intentionality can contribute greatly to maintaining harmony and a mutual, shared vision among the generations working together in the family company. During the program, “Developing Yourself / Developing Your Family Business,” participants will: • Developed increased self-awareness to tackle those much-needed, yet often difficult intergenerational conversations. • Review a structured way to align key stakeholders to a long-term shared vision that will endure. • Provide an action plan outline to move forward. Jon Weirauch is a business consultant, coach, speaker, and podcaster who is passionate about improving lives through effective leadership and business practices. He is currently a consultant for Frankenmuth Credit Union as well as with Rick Olson Seminars and a member of the GLBR Chapter Conscious Capitalism Leadership Team. This event is free of charge to all SCFB Members and Sponsors as well as any GLBR Family Business Enterprises. Pre-Registration is required to attend. You can find event registration online at: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/ygz2t75 Or contact Program Coordinator Andrea Henning at anhennin@svsu.edu for assistance.
