Pit & Balcony’s annual summer After Dark Production will be MilkMilkLemonade by
Joshua Conkel. The adults-only production will be presented “black box” style with the audience seated on
stage with the performers.
MilkMilkLemonade tells the story of Emory, an effeminate 11-year-old boy who lives on a farm with his
Nanna and his only friend, a depressed chicken about to be processed. Nanna wishes Emory would be more
like Elliot, the boy down the road, but what Nanna doesn’t know is that Emory and Elliot already have a
relationship, just not one that she’d expect or approve of. MilkMilkLemonade is a comedy that explores
themes of gender, sexuality, life, death, and the human body.
Performances of MilkMilkLemonade run June 27-29. All showings will begin at 8:30pm. This show
contains mature content including adult language and situations.
