Pit & Balcony Community Theatre is thrilled to present Selina Fillinger's
uproarious and daring political comedy, “POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumba** Are Seven Women
Trying to Keep Him Alive,” on November 1st and 2nd at 8:30 p.m. Directed by Dominique Eisengruber,
this bold and brazen satire offers a hilarious inside look at the women tasked with keeping the most
powerful man in the world from self-destructing.
Set in the White House, what starts as a PR disaster quickly escalates into a full-blown catastrophe. Seven
brilliant and beleaguered women risk their sanity and careers as they scramble to prevent the
commander-in-chief from unraveling the country’s affairs—and their own lives. “POTUS” is a bawdy and
irreverent exploration of the intersection of sex, politics, and the power dynamics of the women behind
the man in charge. With biting wit and sharp humor, the play reveals just how close global crisis can
be—sometimes just one four-letter word away.
This production promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with laughter, satire, and razor-sharp
commentary on the political landscape. Whether you’re a fan of political comedies or just looking for a
night of bold and unapologetic theater, “POTUS” is sure to leave audiences entertained and thinking
about the intricate, often unseen, forces that keep the world turning.
Pit & Balcony is proud to partner with Old Town Saginaw women-owned businesses Artisan Urban
Bistro, The Bread Gal, and Pasongs to support this production, celebrating the talents of women both on
stage and within the local community.
