Event Description: Join us for a lively discussion of a book about Greek Mythology! Greek Mythology is filled with gruesome drama and situations! Fun! Our book for February is The Penelopiad by acclaimed author Margaret Atwood, a tale of the Odyssey, in which our hero Odysseus travels across the world fighting against the gods who do not want him to return to his home after the Trojan War. The story is told from a modern perspective, and is written from the perspective of Odysseus's long-suffering wife, Penelope. Try to reserve your copy from the library, or order your copy of the book from a site like Amazon or similar and come to the meeting with questions, comments, observations, or just having a copy of the book with you! No pressure; you don't even have to finish the book; and a good time learning about mythology is guaranteed!
