The public is invited to participate in a unique sculptural experience Monday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Simply bring one or two objects of wood, ceramic, metal, fabric or plastic to the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum at Saginaw Valley State University and be part of creating a unique work of art. The Museum will provide the tools and hardware to assemble the sculpture.
International Sculpture Day was established by the International Sculpture Center in 2015. It is a worldwide annual celebration of sculpture and is meant to raise awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of sculpture in communities across the globe. During the inaugural last year, more than 50 events were held in 12 countries including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA.
Come for an hour, two hours, or all day. To keep your creative energy flowing, there will be treats for you to enjoy.
