Holy Cross Children’s Services (HCCS) is one of the largest not-for-profit providers of children’s services in Michigan. HCCS was founded 68 years ago and provides services to approximately 1500 children and families each day and employs about 500 coworkers across the State. HCCS is dedicated to providing quality services aimed at helping children, youth and families to become healthy, productive, and self-sufficient members of our society.
Holy Cross has over 20 offices in Michigan servicing approximately 90% of the counties; four of our larger facilities are in Saginaw, they are: St. Vincent Home, Queen of Angels, Holland House, and Yale Street.
The mission of Holy Cross Children’s Services is to bring hope, promote change, and help children live free, healthy and productive lives. HCCS’ goal is to meet the social, emotional, basic care and educational needs of vulnerable children. HCCS supports children and families and strives to make the public aware of their needs through a network of in-home, community-based and residential programs.
We are hosting our first annual “Hope Walk for Kids” 5K walk on May 21, 2016 on Ojibway Island in Saginaw, Michigan. The overall purpose of our Walk is to increase Foster Care Awareness and to help raise funds to help kids in our care at Holy Cross Children’s Services (HCCS). We want to attract and recruit good foster parents as well.
We are looking for partners in the form of sponsors, registered walkers, and community partners who want to be onsite the day of the walk providing family-fun activities and/or giveaways for the participants. In return, we have various acknowledgement and engagement opportunities depending on the level of support.
