May 8th-14th is National Salvation Army week, started by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in May of 1954. The Saginaw Salvation Army would like to thank the community for helping us with #DoingTheMostGood.
We will be serving free coffee, water and Tim Hortons donuts. Anyone in the community is welcome to stop by for the free refreshments!
We will also be holding a rummage sale in our gym that day. We are looking for people who would like to set up for $10 and sell their goods! We welcome all kinds of items including home goods, clothing, new items, handmade items, and are also looking for independent sales representatives! Time can be scheduled to set up your items on Friday, May 13th or in the morning before the event on the 14th. The Salvation Army will provide tables, chairs, and all event advertising!
Whether you would like to set up a table or not, we have some volunteer opportunities available for this event. We will need help with set up and tear down, distributing the refreshments, making posters to put around the neighborhood and someone to help pick up food from the postal food drive that day,
If you would like to purchase a table or have any questions you can message us on facebook or contact Heather Rick at (989) 439-4036 or heather_rick@usc.salvationarmy.org.
So, sign up for a table and/or come out and see us on May 14th for free refreshments and check out the items for sale! Hope to see you there!
