The YMCA of Saginaw is one of ten YMCAs across the country to start new BOLD/GOLD programs in 2016!
We are excited to provide teens in the Saginaw community with opportunities to explore the beauty of nature and become multi-cultural leaders through their experiences working with others in a wilderness setting.
This year, our groups of eight teens and two instructors will experience five days and four nights of backpacking and canoeing in the Huron and Manistee National Forests. Group gear, meals, and transportation will be provided. Trips will depart from the Saginaw YMCA, and all groups will spend their first night at YMCA Camp Timbers in West Branch, MI.

Directions / MAP
GPS in the Camp Timbers area is unreliable! We encourage you to follow these directions to ensure expeditious arrival at Camp.
From I-75:
Exit freeway at exit 212, turn right, follow Business Loop 75 into West Branch.
At fourth traffic signal (Walgreen pharmacy), make a right hand turn onto Fairview Road. (A common mistake is to turn onto East M-55, be sure to turn onto Fairview Road, which passes the West Branch Country Club.)
Follow Fairview Road north, out of West Branch.
At intersection of Fairview and Clear Lake Roads, turn left onto Clear Lake Road.
Follow Clear Lake Road to the community of Clear Lake.
At intersection of Clear Lake and Horseshoe Lake Road (adjacent to Clear Lake Party store), turn right onto Horseshoe Lake Road.
Follow Horseshoe Lake Road approximately 1 mile.
The Camp Timbers entrance is located on the right side of Horseshoe Lake Road.
