If a day at the golf course sounds like a great way to truly enjoy summer in Michigan, then the Saginaw Promise has planned a great day of golfing fun for you! The Saginaw Promise will host “Swinging for the Promise” on Friday, August 12, 2016 at The Fortress of Frankenmuth; shotgun start at 9 AM. A four-person golf team is only $400 which includes 18 holes with cart, hot dogs & chips at the turn, and a great buffet dinner and awards presentation afterwards, “Swinging for the Promise” provides an opportunity to get out on the links, enjoy a wonderful day of golf, all while raising scholarship dollars. A variety of sponsorships and recognition are also available.
Saginaw Promise is working to positively impact Saginaw and affect lives by promoting and supporting a culture of postsecondary education for all of its graduating students with information, programming and “last dollar” scholarships. Since 2012, the Saginaw Promise has awarded $552,776 in scholarships to 356 students who have attended 23 colleges, technical schools and universities throughout Michigan. Scholars for 2016 number 91.
