Zehnder’s is thinking Spring! We hope that you will consider joining us for one or more of our upcoming Spring How-To Classes or other events. Spring How-To Class Schedule: Almond Coffee Cake Ring & Coconut Macaroons Class Limit: 18 – Cost $45 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Let us show you how to create our wonderful almond coffee cake which is made from a Sweet Danish dough and filled with a delicious almond paste. While your coffee cake is baking, we will show you how to make coconut macaroons. Take home a 10-inch coffee cake and 12 macaroons. Baby Chick Cake Class Limit: 18 – Cost $45 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Learn step-by-step from our professional cake decorator how to create an adorable chick cake. This delicious raspberry lemonade cake frosted with classic buttercream icing is sure to wow all of your Easter guests. Take home a full size 6-inch cake along with 2 decorating tips. Banana Nut Bread & Banana Nut Truffles Class Limit: 18 – Cost $45 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Make a loaf of banana nut bread from scratch. While the bread is baking, you will make banana nut truffles made from banana bread, cream cheese icing and dipped in white chocolate. Take home one loaf of bread and 8 truffles. Butterhorns & Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie Cookies Class Limit: 18 – Cost $50 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Learn how to make Zehnder’s classic butterhorns made from sweet yeast dough, filled with a brown sugar and walnut filling and topped with a homemade buttercream and walnuts. You will also make strawberry and cream pie cookies and will take home 12 butterhorns and 8 pie cookies. Cream Horns & Jelly Bean Bark Class Limit: 18 – Cost $45 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Learn how to make these classic cream horns from puffy pastry dough filled with sweet cream filling. While they are baking, you will make colorful bark made from jelly beans and white chocolate. Take home 12 cream hours and a tray of jelly bean bark. Mini Dessert Plate Class Limit: 18 – Cost $50 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Our Pastry Chef will help make an eye-appealing and delicious plate of mini desserts. You will start by making toasted coconut grass for the desserts to sit on followed by mini egg-shaped lemon looking glass cookies, mini rustic berry tarts, carrot chocolate covered strawberries and mini napoleons. Take home a plate filled with 4 of each treat. Pan-Seared Salmon Class Limit: 18 – Cost $50 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. With Spring right around the corner, our Chef de Cuisine Diamantae would like to freshen up your diet with an amazing Pan-Seared Salmon topped with an avocado salsa served alongside a fresh orzo primavera. You will learn how to make this dish from start to finish. Watermelon-Shaped Fruit Tart Class Limit: 18 – Cost $40 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Zehnder’s Pastry Chef will teach you how to create a 12-inch tart that looks like a piece of watermelon from start to finish, even though it is constructed with only kiwi, strawberries and chocolate chips.
