Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, Huntington Bank partner to support local businesses on Small Business Saturday

The Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Huntington Bank, is proud to announce a special Small Business Saturday initiative designed to boost local shopping and strengthen the small business community across Saginaw County.

As part of this year’s program, participating locally owned businesses each received a $500 or $1,000 check to create gift cards that will be distributed to customers who shop with them on Saturday, November 29, 2025. The goal of the program is to support small businesses directly and keep dollars circulating within the local community.

“Small businesses bring energy, creativity, and resilience to our region,” said Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Eugene Seals, Jr. “We’re thrilled to partner with Huntington Bank to provide real, tangible support to these entrepreneurs on one of the most important shopping days of the year.”

Gift cards may be distributed however each business chooses, whether through a minimum purchase threshold, a special promotion, or a surprise reward during checkout. Each gift card will be presented in a Huntington-branded sleeve, reflecting the bank’s commitment to uplifting local businesses.

This initiative underscores Huntington Bank’s ongoing commitment to the region’s business community and aligns with the Chamber’s long-standing mission to champion economic growth, support entrepreneurs, and foster community vitality.

"Partnering with the Saginaw Chamber for Small Business Saturday was truly an honor. Supporting the incredible businesses that make up our chamber isn’t just something we talk about at Huntington Bank; it’s something we wholeheartedly believe in," said Huntingon Bank Regional President Seth Perigo. "Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and when they thrive, we all thrive. We’re grateful to stand alongside the entrepreneurs who fuel growth, create opportunity and make Saginaw such a vibrant place to live and work."

“We are incredibly grateful for the work our small businesses do every day,” said Seals, Jr. “This partnership with Huntington Bank allows us to show our appreciation in a meaningful way and help drive greater engagement and economic activity across Saginaw County.”

Participating Saginaw County businesses include:

  • SVRC Marketplace
  • Antique Warehouse
  • Jake’s Old City Grill
