SMG is pleased to announce Jon Block has accepted a new role, within the company, as General Manager of The Dow Event Center and Huntington Event Park. In this new role, Jon will lead the overall daily management, operations and promotion of the facilities. The Dow Event Center and Huntington Event Park hosts over 250 events annually and includes live performances, conventions, banquets and sporting events as well as being home to the Saginaw Spirit OHL hockey team. Jon starts his new role on the 1st of March.

Jon joined SMG two years ago and most recently served as the Assistant General Manager of The Dow Event Center and Huntington Event Park in Saginaw. He previously worked at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw for seven years managing event booking, event & building operations and the box office.

While with SMG, Jon has led the implementation of new security standards and operations, contributed to the Saginaw Spirit lease extension, oversaw facility operations and led booking efforts in both the Heritage Theater & The Red Room. Jon also led the operations department in revamping the process of planning shows and ensuring the proper implementation of shows on the day of events.
